The TinCaps stymied the Lake County Captains for the second straight game in a 9-1 win Friday in front of 2,487 fans at Parkview Field.
Fort Wayne (5-3) continued its strong pitching and scored five runs in the sixth inning.
Winning pitcher Max Fried (1-0) threw five innings, allowed three hits and no runs, while striking out eight and walking two. He threw 83 pitches, 49 for strikes.
TinCaps pitchers didn't give up a run in 17 straight innings until the Captains scored an unearned run in the ninth.
Lake County had only four hits.
Lake County committed four errors, which meant only two of the TinCaps' nine runs were earned.
Lake County's Ryan Merritt (0-2) took the loss.
The TinCaps won 4-0 Thursday over the Captains (1-6) in a rain-shortened game that went 5½ innings.
A day earlier, the TinCaps' Joe Ross (2-0) allowed just one hit over five innings.
