Wayne boys capture team title

The Wayne boys track team won its first North Side Relays title since back-to-back championships in 1996-97.

The Generals scored 120 points Saturday at Chambers Field, beating out Indianapolis North Central's 108 and Bishop Dwenger's 107.

Devon Stone won two hurdle races for Wayne, while Shamarcus Ford won the 100 meters and anchored the winning sprint medley relay team.

High point award winners were: Wayne's Carrington Robinson (sprints), Homestead's Brayden Lee (distance) and Jay County's Tyler Back (field events).
