Daft Punk’s ‘Lucky’ sets Spotify record

Daft Punk has set a record on Spotify.

The music service says the French electronic duo’s song “Get Lucky” had the biggest streaming day for a single track on Friday in the U.S. and the United Kingdom. Spotify wouldn’t release the number of streams.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ “Thrift Shop” previously held the record for most streams in a day in the U.S. British band Bastille had the title in the United Kingdom with the song “Pompeii.”

Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky” features rapper-producer Pharrell.

Coach’s story debuts at Tribeca

The story of Pat Summitt’s life debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival.

The Hall of Fame coach, who has early onset dementia, was part of the audience Sunday for a screening of the documentary “Pat XO.”

Summitt’s son, Tyler, is the lead storyteller, spending time with his mother on a couch in their home going through a scrapbook of her life. The film starts from Summitt’s earliest days and goes through her retirement from coaching last April.

The filmmakers gave cameras to those who know the Tennessee coach best.

The show is part of ESPN Films’ Nine for IX documentary series. It will be broadcast July 9.

Kardashian out as ‘X Factor’ host

Khloe Kardashian is left out following the latest game of musical chairs on “The X Factor.”

Fox said Monday that while Mario Lopez is returning this fall as host of Simon Cowell’s music competition series, Kardashian will not be joining him.

Cowell’s series, which has never quite met ratings expectations, is in the midst of turnover with its judging panel, too.

Cowell and Demi Lovato will be returning, but Britney Spears and record producer Antonio “L.A.” Reid left and have not been replaced yet.

The show starts its third season in the fall.
