TinCaps 6, Cougars 4

Fort Wayne improved to 11-8, 8-1 at home with a 6-4 win at Parkview Field against Kane County.

The Cougars (7-10) made it interesting in the eighth, bouncing back from a 6-1 deficit with a three-run frame to get within reach of Fort Wayne's lead. But reliever Christopher Nunn came in and shut the door for the TinCaps.

Corey Adamson, with a double and home run, was the only Fort Wayne batter with more than one hit on the day. Outside of a five-hit, five-run third, the TinCaps only recorded four hits.

Starter Joe Ross did his part, going 5 2/3 with one earned run. Nunn got the save after going 1 1/3 innings and allowing one hit.
