TinCaps lead through 3

A double and home run by Corey Adamson, and another homer by Jeremy Baltz, have helped put Fort Wayne up 6-1 early against Kane County.

Adamson, the right fielder, had a leadoff double to start the day at the plate for Fort Wayne and advanced to third on a passed ball. He scored on a sacrifice fly to deep center by Diego Goris.

The Cougars struck back in the top of the second with a pair of singles plating Jeimer Candelario, who walked to start the frame. But another leadoff hit by Adamson in the third -- this one high over the right field wall -- started to break the game open.

Baltz's homer came four batters and two runs later. It shot off the bat at 108 mph and cleared the left field wall in a hurry, creating a five-run gap between the TinCaps and the Cougars.
