Section of Ewing Street to be 2-way

Update: Due to events taking place with the Tin Caps the conversion of Ewing St. to two-way will take place on Wednesday, April 30, 2013

Statement as issued Monday by the Fort Wayne Traffic Engineering Department:

Please be advised Ewing St. will be converted to two-way traffic between Jefferson Blvd. and Brackenridge Street.

The switch to two way traffic will take place Tuesday, April 30, 2013.

The conversion will help provide better access to the new Harrison Complex.

The intersection of Ewing St. and Brackenridge St. will become an 'All Way Stop' to reduce confusion and help facilitate traffic through the area.

All lanes on Jefferson Blvd. will also be opened to traffic at this time as the work on Jefferson Blvd. in front of the Harrison is now complete.

A project is also under development that will convert Ewing St. and Fairfield Ave. to two-way traffic all the way between Baker St. and Superior Street. This project is still under design and is expected to be under construction next spring.

For further information or for problems that may develop contact the Traffic Engineering Department at 427-1172.
