Offensive lineman picks Irish

Notre Dame added a third offensive lineman and ninth oral commitment to its 2014 class Wednesday.

Quenton Nelson, a 6-foot-5, 282-pound offensive tackle from Red Bank (N.J.) Catholic, announced his decision to commit to the Irish on his Twitter account, posting: "Officially committed to Notre Dame #GoldenArmy #Irish #BestDay #LetsGo."

Nelson, a U.S. Army All-American, is rated a four-star prospect by Rivals.com, Scout.com and 247Sports.

He joins offensive guards Sam Mustipher and Jimmy Byrne as recruits for the line in the Irish's class.
