Councilmen praise added road funding

Fort Wayne City Councilmen Mitch Harper, R-4th, and Russ Jehl, R-2nd, praised the Indiana General Assembly on Thursday for providing much-needed road repair funding; Fort Wayne will receive an additional $4.2 million over the next two years.

In this year’s state budget, with reallocation from various sources to transportation funding, Fort Wayne will see an increase of $2.1 million a year for 2014 and 2015 for vital repairs to city streets.
