Closures reported on US 33

Noble County officials sent out a notice shortly before 6 a.m. Tuesday, saying the intersection of Indiana 9 and U.S. 33 is closed due to the overturned semi, and that U.S. 33 is closed at Indiana 109.

A semi rig tipped over on its side at U.S. 33 and Noble County Road 200 South, the driver telling police that something ran into the path of the truck.

James C, Messer, 57, of Bourg, La., was transported to a Fort Wayne hospital with head and leg pain, according to a written statement from the Noble County Sheriff’s Department.

Few details were available, but the notice said sections could remain closed until 8 or 9 a.m.
