IU draws Syracuse in Big Ten/ACC Challenge

Indiana will have to deal with Syracuse's zone defense again, this time as part of the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.

The Hoosiers will travel to will travel to play the Orange on Dec. 3, the conferences announced Wednesday when the pairings were released.

Indiana lost to Syracuse 61-50 in the NCAA tournament's Sweet 16 on March 28 in Washington D.C.

The Hoosiers are 4-1 against the Orange with Syracuse winning the last four games. IU's lone victory over Syracuse game in the 1987 NCAA tournament championship game when it knocked off the Orange 74-73 in New Orleans on Keith Smart's last second shot.

The Challenge games, which pits the 12 Big Ten schools against 12 of 15 ACC schools, will be televised on ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU. Game times and networks will be announced at a later date.

The ACC leads the Challenge 10-3-1 after the conferences split last year's game 6-6.
