Fried's outing keeps Loons scoreless

TinCaps pitcher Max Fried put together a no-hitter through 5 2/3 innings, with eight strikeouts and four walks, to keep Great Lakes off the scoreboard.

Fort Wayne couldn't capitalize in the bottom of the sixth, and the game remains scoreless.

Matthew Shepherd replaced Fried with one out to go in the sixth as Fried's pitch count ran high. Shepherd got the final out on the next batter.

A leadoff double by Alberth Martinez set the TinCaps up to take the lead. Stephen Carmon bunted Martinez over in the next at-bat, but Corey Adamson popped out to third. Maxx Tissenbaum followed that up with a soft grounder to second to end the inning.
