An Albion woman suspected in connection with an Edgerton, Ohio, bank robbery led police from Ohio and Indiana Friday afternoon on a 90 mph chase that ended with her arrest in a DeKalb County wheat field, the county sheriff's department said.

Kelly Chaney, 47, was charged in Indiana with resisting law enforcement with a vehicle and possession of stolen property, the sheriff's department said in a statement. She was being held in the DeKalb County Jail on $100,000 bond.

"Evidence of a robbery was contained in the vehicle," the statement said.

It said any charges related to the bank robbery in Ohio "will ultimately be evaluated by Edgerton Police and the FBI."

Police said Edgerton police requested assistance about 12:30 p.m. in pursuit of a white Ford pickup that had been involved in a bank robbery.

The truck, also pursued by Butler police, was headed west toward Butler when it turned south on DeKalb County Road 79 and west on County Road 40, police said.

At County Road 35, they said, Auburn police deployed "stop sticks" east of the intersection, and the pickup turned right and cut through a tilled field.

It then entered County Road 35 going north, police said, where county police and Indiana State Police began pursuit.

They said the pickup was just north of County Road 32 when it left the road to the east into a wheat field. It attempted to elude police, turning back to the west, the statement said, but slowed down as police surrounded it.

Waterloo police also were involved in the chase, police said.
