Guthrie to wed for 2nd time

Bradley Cooper presented her with a dozen roses on the air but, oddly enough, that isn’t why “Today” show co-host Savannah Guthrie is so happy.

Guthrie reported Monday that her boyfriend, Mike Feldman, had proposed during a tropical vacation, and she said yes. Guthrie and Feldman, a consultant at a strategic communications firm in Washington, have been dating for four years. It’s the second marriage for Guthrie, who is 41, and Feldman’s first. He’s 44.

The couple haven’t set a wedding date. Despite Al Roker’s prodding, don’t expect an on-air ceremony.

House moving

Officials in Georgia have decided to move the boyhood home of Little Richard to spare it from a highway construction project.

Macon Mayor Robert Reichert made the announcement Friday. WMAZ-TV reports that the 80-year-old singer is receiving an honorary degree on Saturday from Mercer University.

Born Richard Wayne Penniman, Little Richard grew up in Macon’s Pleasant Hill community. That’s a neighborhood that was later divided by the construction of Interstate 75.

At its new location, the house will be used as a neighborhood resource center.
