Beyoncé cancels concert

Beyoncé canceled her concert in Belgium last night because of dehydration and exhaustion.

In an email to The Associated Press, the singer’s publicist says Beyoncé has been advised by her doctors to rest. She was scheduled to perform at the Sportpaleis in Antwerp. The show will be rescheduled and tickets can be used at that show.

Drake leads nods

He started from the bottom, but now he’s on top at the BET Awards: Drake has 12 nominations.

BET announced the nominees Tuesday. Rappers Kendrick Lamar and 2 Chainz are up for eight awards each.

Drake is nominated three times for the top prize, video of the year. His hit “Started From the Bottom” will compete with his collaborations with 2 Chainz (“No Lie”) and A$AP Rocky (“Problems”). The top award has 10 nominees, including Justin Timberlake’s “Suit & Tie,” Kanye West’s “Mercy,” “Adorn” by Miguel and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ “Thrift Shop.”

Chris Tucker will host the BET Awards, which airs live June 30.

Swift to perform

Taylor Swift leads a list of country’s hottest stars set to perform at the CMT Music Awards next month.

Swift, Miranda Lambert’s Pistol Annies, Luke Bryan, Hunter Hayes and Little Big Town are the first performers announced for the June 5 awards show.

Jason Aldean and Kristen Bell are set to host the fan-voted awards show.

Not guilty plea

Rapper Gucci Mane has pleaded not guilty to an assault charge stemming from an altercation with a fan at a downtown Atlanta nightclub.

The rapper, whose real name is Radric Davis, was charged with aggravated assault with a weapon.

James Lettley of Fort Hood, Texas, told police the rapper struck him in the V.I.P. area at Harlem Nights Club on March 16.

The rapper’s attorney, Drew Findling, tells The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that Gucci Mane is out on bond and “just going about his life.”
