3RF announces music lineup

The musical lineup for this year’s Fort Wayne Newspapers Three Rivers Festival has a little something for everyone, including quite a number of local performers.

The list of acts for the festival, which runs from July 12 to 20, were announced Thursday and include such headliners as Christian band MercyMe and hard rock group Sevendust. The announcement also included a tease to an unnamed act described as a national rock band and TV star that will perform July 13 after final plans are confirmed.

All performances will be at the Hanning & Bean Festival Plaza under the pavilion at Headwaters Park.

Scheduled acts:

July 12 – Mustang Sally, the all-girl country group, along with Allen Craig Miller of Nashville Nights, Nick Cross and the Hunter Smith Band. Tickets are $9 advance and $12 day of show.

July 14 – MercyMe, Hawk Nelson, Capital Kings and Warren Barfield. Tickets are available at

July 15 – “Make Me a Star!” talent contest, in which local performers compete for the $1,000 top prize. A “Shooting Stars” division will showcase the younger talent. Fort Wayne’s Fawn Liebowitz will perform after the contest. Tickets are $5 at the door.

July 16 – Fort Wayne-based Brother and Kill Nancy, along with Indianapolis band the Easthills. Tickets are $2 at the door.

July 17 – Sevendust, along with Devour the Day and Fort Wayne’s Downstait. Tickets are $15 advance and $18 the day of show.

July 18 – Local bands I Wombat, Unlikely Alibi, URB and Cougar Hunter. Tickets are $5.

July 19 – The Main Squeeze from Bloomington and Willy Joy, an electronic dance music DJ. Tickets are $8 at the door.

July 20 – Pink Droyd, a Pink Floyd tribute band, along with the David Todoran Band.
