News and notes

  • This will be the last time Fort Wayne plays South Bend in the first half of the schedule, and it will be a four-game series. The TinCaps and Silver Hawks need to make up a game from earlier in the year, when a rainout shut down the teams in South Bend.
  • The Silver Hawks are 13-12 at home, but boast the best away record in the division. They are 12-4 away from South Bend, which is good for the best road winning percentage in the MWL.
  • Fort Wayne is 4-10 against teams that are .500 or better this season. The TinCaps will have a manageable slate to finish out the first half, but will hope to gain some ground in this series.
