The TinCaps suffered their first four-game home sweep since 2006 with a 7-3 loss to South Bend on Friday at Parkview Field.
Fort Wayne (25-21) had not been swept at Parkview Field before the four-game streak by the Silver Hawks (29-16).
South Bend moved further ahead of the Midwest League Eastern Division with the win, while the TinCaps fell 4 1/2 games behind the division-leading Silver Hawks.
TinCaps starter Ruben Mejia gave up five earned runs and went 2 2/3 innings for a loss in front of a crowd of 6,106.
South Bend's Jesse Darrah went seven innings and gave up one earned run in the win.
The loss was Fort Wayne's sixth straight against South Bend. The TinCaps have dropped three of their last 10 games and are on their longest losing streak of the season with four in a row.
Fort Wayne heads to Bowling Green, Ky., to take on a Hot Rods squad that is second in the Eastern Division and 15-9 on its home field.
Bowling Green has lost four straight entering the three-game series.
