Mallex Smith kept the offense going in the third with a leadoff home run over the right-field wall. It was his third homer of the season.
Bad weather is swirling around Parkview Field, which has seen sun showers, a rainbow and a huge streak of lightning in the past 15 minutes. For it to be an official game, the teams must go a full five innings.
