News and notes

  • Fort Wayne's game Friday was suspended because of rain as the teams headed to the bottom of the 11th. You can read more about that game here. The teams left off at 7-4, and Fort Wayne will have to score three runs to prevent its first loss in extras in four tries. The regularly scheduled game will begin approximately 30 minutes after the end of the continuation and will go a full nine innings.
  • Ross will vie for his first win since April 25 in the regularly scheduled game. The TinCaps ace has had no-decisions in four of his last five outings. All but one of those games have been decided by one run.
  • The TinCaps are 0-2 against the Whitecaps entering today's continuation. Except for Midwest League Eastern Division-leading South Bend, West Michigan is the only team Fort Wayne has faced and not beaten at least once.
