Fremont firefighters term blaze suspicious

Fremont firefighters put out a mobile-home fire Thursday afternoon they called suspicious and caused $3,000 in damage.

No one was injured in the fire, which remains under investigation.

Firefighters said they were called to a mobile home in the first block of 2nd Street shortly before 2 p.m. and found smoke coming from the roof.

They said they found a room and contents fire in the back bedroom of the mobile home, which was controlled in 15 minutes.

Fremont and Clear Lake police, an Angola fire investigator and Northern Indiana Public Service Co. assisted at the scene.
