Ex-Werner’s worker wanted in theft

A former employee of Werner’s Garage is being sought by police after stealing cash from the store register, police said.

Joshua Gamble, 31, was charged Wednesday with theft from Werner’s Garage Inc., 7804 Fritz Road.

The office manager told police that she noticed a discrepancy of about $39,000 while preparing the company’s 2012 taxes and began looking into the situation.

She reviewed security videos from near the cash register and saw Gamble taking about $500 from the cash drawer Aug. 31, court documents said.

Gamble, of the 2900 block of Broadway, had not been arrested Wednesday.
