Big start for Irish's 2015 recruiting class

Notre Dame started its 2015 recruiting class in a big way Saturday.

The Irish received an oral commitment from offensive tackle Jerry Tillery, who announced his decision on his Twitter account.

"I am committed to the University of Notre Dame. #GoIrish," Tillery wrote.

The 6-foot-7, 332-pounder from Evangel Christian Academy in Shreveport, La., is rated at four-star prospect by 247Sports.

He is also listed as the No. 74 overall recruit, No. 5 offensive tackle and No. 3 player in Louisiana by 247Sports.

Tillery is the first member of the Irish's 2015 recruiting class.
