Meth bust made at house near school

Fort Wayne police’s version of a SWAT unit entered a southwest-side home near Haverhill Elementary on Wednesday, where officers arrested a man for manufacturing methamphetamine.

Max Goff, whose age was not given, was arrested after police served a search warrant at 4410 Turf Lane, just south of Aboite Center Road.

Inside the home, narcotics detectives found evidence that methamphetamines had been made at the home, police said. A teenage dependent was also at the home and placed into Department of Child Services care.

Booked into Allen County Lockup on $57,750 bail, Goff is facing these preliminary charges of manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of drug precursors, illegal dumping of hazardous waste, maintaining a common nuisance, neglect of a dependent, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia, according to police.
