IPFW names interim vice chancellor

Stanley W. Davis, professor and interim associated dean in the Richard T. Doermer School of Business at IPFW, has been named interim vice chancellor for financial affairs, the university announced today.

Davis will temporarily replace Walt Branson, who will leave IPFW this summer for a new position at Missouri University of Science and Technology, IPFW said in a statement.

A search committee is to be formed to select a new vice chancellor for financial affairs, the statement said.

"Stan's background in finance and accounting and his broad experience in a number of leadership positions at IPFW make him a knowledgeable resource for our university," Chancellor Vicky L. Carwein said in the statement.

Davis, who received a doctorate in accounting from Penn State, joined the business school's faculty in 2000. He previously held faculty positions at the University of Maryland, Queen's University in Canada and at St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia.
