Back and forth they go again at Parkview Field.
Fort Wayne and West Michigan have tied, and flipped the lead, three times through six innings. The advantage belongs to the TinCaps in a 4-3 game with three innings to go.
TinCaps starter Adys Portillo exited in the top of the fourth inning with an injury, and Matthew Chabot came to the mound as an emergency replacement. After giving up an early run, Chabot settled in and was able to work out of a jam in the top of the sixth.
With one out in the inning, Chabot loaded the bases on a hit batsman, double and intentional walk. He induced a popout and flyout to end the frame.
The TinCaps will try to end a three-game losing streak and hold the lead for the final three innings.
