3-hour standoff ends peacefully at mobile home

A three-hour standoff between Fort Wayne police and a person inside a mobile home ended peacefully Wednesday morning.

Officers responded to a 911 hang-up call shortly after 1 a.m. in the 3100 block of Wells Street, police said.

A person inside was making suicide threats and refused to come out. After about three hours, officers deployed tear gas in the mobile home and the person surrendered to police. That person was taken to a hospital for an evaluation, police said.
