Top 100 Showcase features 15 local invitees

Fifteen local players earned invitations to the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association Top 100 Showcase, the IBCA announced Monday in conjunction with the IHSAA.

The event features two showcases, one for boys and one for girls, on July 18 and 23, respectively. The events will begin at 2 p.m. and go until 8 p.m. at Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis.

Each showcase will have drill sessions and three game sessions, as well as guest speakers.

Cole Hartman of DeKalb; Mason Coverstone of Columbia City; D.J. McCall of Concordia; Justin Mitchell of Wayne; and Drew Schermerhorn of West Noble will represent the boys for northeast Indiana.

Sydney Buck and Josie Fisher of Homestead; Brittni Clopton of South Side; Nikki Grose of Warsaw; Claire Grubb of Angola; Darby Maggard of Canterbury; Kelsie Peterson of West Noble; Hanna Smith of Norwell; Aleah Swary of Northrop; and Deja Wimby of Snider are the local players on the girls side.
