Watford survives Pacers summer league cut

Christian Watford remains on the Indiana Pacers' summer league team after cuts were announced today.

Pacers assistant Dan Burke runs the Pacers summer league squad, which will compete in Orlando in the coming days. He told Scott Agness, a colleague who works for the Pacers, that Watford has impressed during workouts.

"His shot looks like it's going in all the time," Burke told Agness in this feature on the Pacers website. "You always like shooting and he's got NBA skill. … Defensively, you can tell he's been well-coached. He's shown he belongs."

Mad Ants wing Ron Howard was among those cut today as the roster was trimmed to 14 players.
