Bicyclists to ride for police survivors

About 25 bicyclists, part of Cops Cycling for Survivors Foundation Inc., will continue their statewide tour today in northeast Indiana.

The riders left Bluffton this morning and will ride through Fort Wayne with a short stop expected between 11 a.m. and noon at the Law Enforcement/Firefighters Memorial at 1000 N. Wells St.

The public is invited to stop by the memorial or along the route on Lafayette and Superior streets or at the Wells Street Bridge.

The area leg ends tonight in Angola. The statewide tour continues through July 20.

YWCA to raise funds in rummage sale

YWCA Northeast Indiana will host a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at 1610 Spy Run Ave. to benefit its Racial Justice program.

The sale includes exercise equipment, bedroom and office furniture, kitchen items, men’s and women’s business attire and children’s toys.

AARP schedules care-giving seminar

AARP will present Caregiver Connect, an educational program for family caregivers, July 18 at Hotel Fort Wayne, 305 E. Washington Center Road.

Caregiver Connect will feature speakers, workshops and exhibits on community resources for caregivers. Registration will be at 9:30 a.m., and the program will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Lunch and snacks will be provided.
