FORT WAYNE – The bats had been lively. The pitching, well, not so much.
Coming into Friday night’s game in Appleton, Wis., the TinCaps had lost three of four games and continued a streak of 11 consecutive games in which their starting pitcher failed to get a win.
In that span, starters were 0-7 and the TinCaps, overall, were 3-8.
Too bad for the offense. Fort Wayne had totaled 42 runs over six games heading into Friday, when the game against the Timber Rattlers went into extra innings. For the result of Friday’s game, go to www.journalgazette.net.
