Plans unveiled for McMillen center

Officials unveiled plans Tuesday for transforming the former McMillen Ice Rink into the McMillen Park Community Center.

The community center will feature programs for all ages that will include sports and recreation as well as educational, social, and health and fitness programs.

The invitation for construction bids will be issued July 23. The Legacy Fort Wayne-funded project is expected to be completed in 2014 at an approximate cost of $2 million.
