Indiana Historical Society honors 'living legends'

INDIANAPOLIS – A former Purdue University president, a choreographer, and a pair of philanthropists will be honored at the Indiana Historical Society's "Living Legends Gala."

The black-tie event will be held this evening at the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center in Indianapolis.

This year's honorees are former Purdue president and Indiana University Medical Center director Steven Beering, artistic director David Hochoy of Indianapolis-based Dance Kaleidoscope; and Dr. George and Peggy Rapp, whose philanthropic causes include the Boy Scouts, Indiana Landmarks and the Indianapolis Museum of Art.

The Historical Society each year honors Indiana "living legends" for their statewide and national accomplishments.
