Ross doing alright

I came into today -- a rare TinCaps game for me -- interested to see how pitcher Joe Ross would fare. He had only one win since April 25, going 12 games since then with a 1-4 record. His one win came in his last start on July 14.

So far, Ross has been alright against Cedar Rapids in what's a scoreless game through three innings.

He's given up four hits, struck out one and walked one.

He got out of a jam in the third, with two out and men on second and third before Mike Gonzales grounded out to the shortstop to end the inning.

Fort Wayne has two hits.
