Suspect caught in credit union robbery

FORT WAYNE – A man who carried a note and patiently waited in line before robbing a credit union branch inside the Scott’s store on North Clinton Street has been arrested, Fort Wayne police said Wednesday.

Reginald A. Greenwell, 28, of Fort Wayne, has been preliminarily charged with armed robbery in connection with the July 22 armed robbery of the Three Rivers Federal Credit Union at 4120 N. Clinton St., according to a statement released by Raquel Foster, a police spokeswoman.

A surveillance system captured still images of the robber at the teller’s counter. Detectives released images showing him wearing a dark Atlanta Braves hat and a dark coat with emblems on it.
