TinCaps pitcher Max Fried

For starters

It'll be Max Fried for the TinCaps and Matt Boyd for the Lansing Lugnuts tonight in the fourth game of a five-game set at Parkview Field.

Fried is 4-5 with a 3.69 ERA, and he'll be looking for his first win since July 18, when he went five innings and gave up five hits and two runs in an 8-3 win over Quad Cities. Boyd is making his Lansing debut.

Elsewhere, Mallex Smith continues to be larcenous. The TinCaps' leadoff hitter stole his league-leading 49th base in the second game of Sunday's doubleheader, moving him ahead of Andrew Toles of Bowling Green. He's now swiped 21 bags since July 5.

Also, the TinCaps announced Monday that infielder Maxx Tissenbaum was placed on the disabled list, and infielder Reynaldo Bruguera has been called up to Fort Wayne from the Arizona League Padres.

Update: The TinCaps and the Parkview Comprehensive Cancer Center will offer free health screenings at Parkview Field on Aug. 6-7. Screenings include PSA, blood pressure check, glucose check, height, weight, bone density, body fat composition and strength testing.
