Meth seized in lake-home arrests

Two people were arrested early today on meth-related charges at a Round Lake home northeast of Kendallville, Indiana State Police said.

Police said troopers went to a house in the Baby Mountain neighborhood about 4 a.m., looking for a man who was wanted on an arrest warrant.

While talking to a woman who lives in the 1500 block of Brookview Boulevard, the troopers noticed someone drive up without lights and park nearby, police said.

The troopers said Jeremy Allen Sawyer, 32, of rural LaGrange, threw a plastic bag with meth away from himself, and then the woman picked it up and tried to throw it before being stopped by one of the troopers.

Police said Krystal Allison Reeves, 21, of the Kendallville residence, was charged with obstruction of justice-tampering with evidence, a felony, and Sawyer was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine.

The troopers never found the man sought in the warrant, police said.
