FORT BRANCH, Ind. – One person has died and two others have been hurt after a minivan collided with a CSX freight train in southwestern Indiana.

Sgt. Bruce Vanoven said everyone who was hurt was in the minivan. He said the two injured people have been taken to an Evansville hospital, where one was released after treatment. Names have not been released yet.
Vanoven said the crossing is marked with a warning sign but has no lights or crossing arms. It’s about 20 miles north of Evansville, between Princeton and the town of Fort Branch.
