Notre Dame found out when it will take on two heavyweights in the Irish's new basketball conference Wednesday.
The Irish will be part of ESPN's Big Monday telecast of Atlantic Coast Conference games when they travel to play Syracuse on Feb. 3 and North Carolina on March 3, the university announced. Both games will start at 7 p.m.
Notre Dame moved from the Big East to the ACC in all sports but football and hockey this summer.
The Irish's trip to the Orange's Carrier Dome is a familiar setting. The two former Big East rivals met at Syracuse last season.
Notre Dame's trip to Chapel Hill, N.C., will mark only the third time the Irish have played at North Carolina, and it is the team's first trip there since 1993.
The complete ACC schedule is expected to be released later this month.
The ACC announced in April that Notre Dame will play North Carolina, Virginia, Boston College and Georgia Tech in home and away games this season. The Irish will play Florida State, Maryland, Miami, Syracuse and Wake Forest on the road, and they play host to Duke, Clemson, North Carolina State, Pittsburgh and Virginia Tech.
