Three men were injured Thursday, one of them critically, when the car they were in struck a tree in the 4100 block of Lafayette Street.
According to city police, the men were traveling north on Lafayette Street about 6:07 p.m. when their vehicle left the road and struck a tree.
Witnesses told police the driver was swerving prior to the crash.
The men, who were not identified, were each taken to a local hospital, police said.
The driver was transported in stable condition and the two passengers, both riding in the backseat, were listed in critical and serious condition.
It was not known whether the men were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
