A motorcycle rider and his passenger were injured when the motorcycle struck a deer in Noble County, according to a report from the Noble County Sheriff's Department.
The crash occurred about 9:40 p.m. Saturday on Indiana 9 north of County Road 150 N.
A 2007 Honda motorcycle, driven by Andrew Littlejohn, 22, of Albion was traveling south of Albion on Indiana 9 when the deer bounded into the roadway too close to avoid a crash, the report said. Littlejohn and his passenger, Nicole Miller, 20, of Auburn, were thrown from the motorcycle.
Both were wearing helmets, which reduced their injuries, the report said. Littlejohn was treated at Parkview Noble Hospital for scrapes to his leg. Miller had scrapes on her arms and hands.
The report did give any details of the deer's injuries.
