County Night Out meetings slated

Allen County government officials will visit Woodburn, Fort Wayne’s Georgetown neighborhood and Aboite Township during this fall’s “County Night Out” events, the Allen County Commissioners’ office announced Monday.

Locations and dates are as follows:

•Tuesday, Sept. 10: Woodburn Community Center, 22735 Main St., Woodburn

•Tuesday, Oct. 1: Allen County Public Library’s Georgetown branch, 6600 E. State Blvd.

•Thursday, Oct. 17: Aboite Township Community Center, 11321 Aboite Center Road

The meetings start at 6:30 p.m. and are scheduled to end by 8 p.m.

“County Night Out” features an open-house format designed to allow residents the opportunity to meet the commissioners and other elected officeholders and get information about programs and services offered by various county departments, including the parks, highway and building departments.
