Home shuttered after meth arrest

A Fort Wayne man was arrested Wednesday morning on multiple drug-related charges after police served a search warrant at his home on Union Chapel Road.

Daniel James Saylor, of the 6700 block of Union Chapel Road, was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of meth precursors, manufacturing meth, illegal dumping of controlled waste and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a statement from the Fort Wayne Police Department.

He was being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.

The Fort Wayne-Allen County Department of Health assisted at the scene and declared the home uninhabitable until a toxic cleanup is completed.
