The TinCaps will try to do something tonight they haven't done since 2009 – sweep South Bend.

The TinCaps close their home series against the Silver Hawks at 7:05 p.m. at Parkview Field.

Fort Wayne (67-61, 24-35 second half) won the first two games against South Bend (77-52, 33-27) in different fashions.

The TinCaps outlasted the Silver Hawks on Wednesday to grab a 7-6, 16-inning victory and followed that with a 5-2 win Thursday in an efficient 2 ½ hours.

The TinCaps will sent Walker Weickel, who is 3-6 with 5.55 ERA, to the mound tonight agaisnt the Silver Hawks' Aaron Blair, who is 0-1 with a 3.00 ERA.
