On a number of separate occasions over the past few months, a 22-year-old Fort Wayne man sold firearm after firearm to a felon.
Now Trevor Rodriguez, who lives in the Ridge Brook Mobile Home Park, 2737 Washington Center Road, faces federal charges related to the sale of the guns and marijuana.
According to court documents filed Wednesday, the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives began investigating Rodriguez in April after agents received information he offered to sell someone an Uzi.
Over the next few months, while agents watched, they saw Rodriguez sell a .45-caliber handgun along with a high-capacity magazine; a MAK-90, which is similar to an AK-47 rifle, along with another high-capacity magazine; a 12-gauge Mossberg shotgun, a Hawk 12-gauge shotgun; and a .357-revolver. Rodriguez also sold marijuana to the same individual on a number of occasions.
Rodriguez had his initial appearance in U.S. District Court in Fort Wayne Thursday and remains in the Allen County Jail in the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service.
