Rebuilding chemistry

SOUTH BEND – Tommy Rees will begin the season as Notre Dame's starter for the first time in his career when the No. 14 Irish play host to Temple on Saturday.

Even though Rees as started 18 games and played in 33, he had to reconnect with the receivers during fall camp.

It was a process that went well, according to receiver DaVaris Daniels.

"Just building our chemistry back with Tom has been tremendous," Daniel said Wednesday. "Leading up to this year, we are farther than we were at this point last year. Getting that chemistry down with him is going to take us far."
