New principal named for Shambaugh

FORT WAYNE – Shannon Rodgers has been appointed as principal of Shambaugh Elementary School.

She began her education career in 2005 as a teacher in Wisconsin and then worked in Georgia and Kentucky, according to a written statement issued Wednesday by the Fort Wayne Community Schools.

In 2010 she came to the district as a teacher at Fairfield Elementary School and was named assistant principal at Holland Elementary School in 2012.

Rodgers replaces Nicole Walker, who left for a position out of state.
