Bus to offer free financial education

Free financial education will be available Friday on Fort Wayne’s south side.

Fifth Third Bank’s eBus I and eBus II will be parked at the Boys & Girls Club, 2609 Fairfield Ave., from 2 to 7 p.m.

No appointment is necessary to talk to a Fifth Third banker for one-on-one credit counseling and financial education. Walk-ins are also welcome to use one of the 14 computer terminals on each bus to access online homeownership and credit counseling programs.

Guests can also access job search and training software created by NextJob.

The bank’s goal is to give back to the community by reaching out to people living in neighborhoods that are traditionally underserved by banks, said Sheila Anderson, Fifth Third’s local membership advantage officer.
