Arrest made in Syracuse rape case

A Goshen man was arrested today and charged in connection with the rape of a woman earlier this month at a Syracuse home, Syracuse police said.

Jonathon Hulley, 34, was charged with rape and sexual battery, police said in a statement. He was being held at the Kosciusko County Jail on $50,000 bond.

Police said they received a report Aug. 17 that a 39-year-old woman had been raped at a Syracuse residence. Following an investigation, they said, a warrant was issued today and Hulley was arrested.

Syracuse police said they were assisted by the county prosecutor's office, Indiana State police, Goshen police and the U.S. Marshals Service.
