Loons 3, TinCaps 2 after six

Six innings gone, and it's a 3-2 game thanks to Mallex Smith's feet.

Smith singled and stole his 62nd base of the season with two out in the fifth, and that wasn't the best of it. The best of it was that Loons catcher Jose Capellan's pickoff attempt sailed into center field, eluded the center fielder, and Smith came all the way home on the gaffe.

Starting pitcher Max Fried, meanwhile, has retired six of the last nine batters he's faced.
