Irish in the polls

Notre Dame was deemed no better and no worse after its 28-6 win over Temple in the season opener by the voters for The Associated Press Top 25. But that wasn't the case in the USA Today coaches' poll.

The Irish (1-0) held steady at No. 14 in the AP Top 25, but they dropped from No. 11 to No. 13 in the coaches' poll. Both polls were released Tuesday afternoon.

Notre Dame travels to play Michigan (1-0) at 8 p.m. Saturday.

The Wolverines remained at the same spot in both polls, checking in at No. 17.
